Singleton Associates May Be Forced Out of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas’ (BCBSTX) Network
What is Happening
Singleton Associates’ current 20+ year contract with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) for all commercial products is scheduled to terminate on the effective dates below.
- BCBSTX PAR plans: July 10, 2026
- BCBSTX PPO and HMO plans: September 8, 2026
- BCBSTX Blue Advantage plans: December 7, 2026
For years, we have worked to engage BCBSTX on a new agreement that appropriately reflects the high-quality, differentiated radiology care our physicians provide to its members. However, BCBSTX has not meaningfully engaged in discussions toward an updated contract that recognizes the care our physicians provide. If an agreement is not reached before the effective termination dates, Singleton Associates will become out of network for all commercial (PAR, PPO, HMO and Blue Advantage) BCBSTX products.
Our Commitment to Your Care
Radiology plays a critical role in nearly every stage of care, helping physicians diagnose injuries and illness, guide treatment decisions and monitor ongoing conditions. From broken bones to heart disease to cancer detection, patients and providers rely on timely, high-quality imaging to support the best possible outcomes.
Singleton Associates is proud to serve its Texas communities, partnering with hospitals and physicians across the state to deliver care with clinical excellence, compassion and advanced technology.
That is why Singleton Associates remain focused on reaching a fair and reasonable agreement with BCBSTX that preserves in-network access and minimizes disruption for the patients, hospitals and referring physicians we serve. Throughout our negotiations with BCBSTX, our priority is to protect access to the trusted local radiology care our communities depend on.
What This Means for Patients
At this time, nothing has changed for patients with BCBSTX coverage, and Singleton Associates will continue to provide the care you know and trust. If that changes, we will continue to share updates so patients and families understand what it may mean for their access to care.
If Singleton Associates does not reach an agreement with BCBSTX, patients covered by commercial BCBSTX plans may no longer have in-network access to Singleton Associates radiologists.
- Patients who seek care at one of our hospital partners will likely be financially protected by the No Surprises Act (NSA) when patients receive care for emergency services or non-emergency services at an in-network facility where our radiologists are out of network.
- For patients who seek care at our outpatient imaging centers or office-based radiology services, we will no longer be able to provide in-network care to patients with these health insurance plans.
